Anaïs LELIEVRE

1982*-
Anaïs LELIEVRE

Anaïs Lelièvre's approach is rich in all kinds of concerns, both formal and substantive, that question the body's relationship to space. Wherever she works, the artist's aim is to create works that act as a relay for the body, in the intelligence of a story, without narration, and of a feeling, free of all expression. In a sharing with others, because ‘it is the viewer who makes the work’, as Duchamp said. His approach is based on a phenomenological experience - as used in minimal art - and the quest for a being-there, nourished by the experience of a memory. She calls on the rudiments of a dwelling that enables her not only to grasp the subtle part of the spirit of the places where she stops, but to include it in an involutive reflection on the question of the work and the possibility of its metamorphoses. - Philippe Piguet
